So this weekend feels like close to a return to normal in terms of meeting up and going out. Getting used to situations and doing more stuff alongside some regular catch ups. All part of the recovery journey.
Saturday night saw me expand my pub options to the Half Moon and meet with a big group. Found the perfect table for me to stand at. Later met with some new faces for the first time in 10 weeks. That felt fine and not overwhelming. As expected some quick updates on my situation but good to share wider news and stories. Some cracking beer too!

Friday night was a meal at ours with the lovely Rackhams and Rickards. The chaps joined me at the breakfast bar to eat – our first visitors for dinner for a while. All felt great.
Sunday was a dog walk with the Richards then had Adam and Lou from my Yeovil days drop by for tea and cake, followed by a trip to the garage to look at cars.
Saturday morning was Mum and Michael calling in and a trip around town.
So that social battery was well and truly tested! Glad to say it was 🔋 not 🪫
Sunday night was thankfully downtime ahead of “back to work” this week!
The overriding feeling from this is the warmth of welcome and the love and concern as I met back with folk for the first time. #heartwarming. 💜💜💜
