Steps to recovery #5 – Blood clots
A simpler one today and one that will be familiar to anyone who has had an operation recently. Managing the risk of blood clots post-operation. Something we had to follow with Isaac after he broke his leg 5 years ago. In hospital when I wasnβt mobile then I had two dynamic padded boots on both…

Who let the dog out?
My first walk out with Finley for nearly 4 weeks. Gideon took control of the lead. Finley just about coped at my reduced pace. Let them head off onto the woods for a longer sniff around (Finley not Gideon!π) What an amazing feeling π€©

Slight exaggeration but made it up the hill to the top of the road. 3 weeks on from last seeing this view the day of my operation. Still canβt believe it is 3 weeks now. Recovery on track. πͺ (followed by a post lunch nap π΄) Seems silly but being out the house is an…

Steps to recovery #3 – Sleep
A slightly lighter topic today. Still one that plays a crucial part in the healing process – maybe underrated? The good news is that Fitbit tells me that this week I am getting 7-8 hours. Where would be without tech? Still fairly disturbed – each time I need to move from side to side is…

And they called it puppy love β¦ π ππ πΆ πΆπΆ
When Finley met Dudley! Lovely to see Helen this afternoon with their new puppy Dudley. Finley gave him his usual grumpy old dog treatment – ignored Dudley as much as he could and one loud bark! Dudley such a cute little fella (sorry Finley π). Forgot how much energy puppies have!
