Just over 9 weeks on and patience remains the watchword. Now off the cocodemol but still using paracetamol first thing and before bed to stay ahead of things.
It is still discomfort rather than pain. Sitting upright remains tricky. I did manage a slightly longer journey out in the car, this time to Letchworth. Looking at VW and Audi again. Liked the look of the ID.4 but the roof at the back a bit low. The Q6 wasnāt in (despite booking a test drive) so maybe back to to see that today. Btw – VW sales good – relaxed, Audi in hitchin could do better! More on the that later?
Anyway, back to pain. Able sit on high stools where the pressure isnāt as bad. Still prefer standing.
Otherwise everything else physically is running well. Getting plenty of sleep š“ and other aches and pains largely subsiding. Got a stoma vest and that is really helpful – especially managing a sneeze 𤧠and cough š·. Looking forward to getting the belts so can use them each day.
The stoma nurse did remind me that it would be up to 3 months for the wound to heal and maybe 6 months to feel 100% better. Nearly there – patience remains the name of the game!
