After nearly 10 years and with 130k on the clock we think it’s time to finally say cheerio to the red Alhambra. 7 seats no longer a necessity and the bills for repairs keep coming in. I have loved it but sometimes it’s time to move on!
The favourite is now the Audi Q6. Ever since I was young I have always wanted an Audi. A long story but growing up our wonderful Uncle Les, Mums younger brother, used to come and see us 3 boys in Cambridge and bring my Nan, Pop and Great Aunt Daisy. A bachelor he was the ultimate cool uncle – The Silver Fox. He is the one alongside Pop that gave us 3 brothers the love of golf. He always gave us cool Xmas presents like a snooker table and an early TV gaming machine (including stick football, tennis and basketball as well as a cool Grand Prix game).
And the car he drove was an Audi – that always had an 8 track casette player. Usually something from Neil Diamond. So Sweet Caroline was on my playlist long before its recent revival! So ever since then I have always thought an Audi was the height of cool.
So now it’s time to live out my dream. We did dabble with VW but my heart is set 💓
Judith did a test drive today – super smooth – so she is won over! With my Susty job then an all electric is a no brainier. The front interior is super cool. Now it’s just a decision on spec, sort out the company scheme and I am a 3-4 month delivery lead time away from fulfilling a childhood dream. 💭 😴🤔😘
….. so good, so good, so good. 🎶 🎵🎼🪇😀
